mesa parts: Sustainability by Principle
Our commitment to a better future.
Why We Think Sustainably
Our company has been around for four generations – and we want it to stay that way. That’s why we take responsibility for our planet, for our people, for our communities and for the future.
- No greenwashing promises. We focus on concrete actions instead of empty claims.
- Sustainability in practice. From energy-efficient machinery to CO₂ footprint tracking.
- Strong local impact. We act where we produce – with a connection to the region.
- Consistently forward-thinking.We are already meeting tomorrow's requirements today.
Only Concrete Actions Make a Difference
- Certified environmental and energy management according to ISO 14001 (environmental management) and ISO 50001 (energy management)
- Switch to green electricity and self-generated power through photovoltaic systems and a combined heat and power plant
- Determination of Corporate Carbon Footprint (CCF) and Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) with the goal of achieving full climate neutrality by 2045 at the latest
- Circular economy: material recovery and proper disposal of non-reusable waste
- Sustainability report first published in 2022; since 2023 aligned with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS)
- Sustainable value chain: resource-efficient production and effective sustainability standards in collaboration with partners
Accurate Tracking of CO₂ Footprints
The Corporate Carbon Footprint (CCF) measures the total greenhouse gas emissions of a company, while the Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) tracks the emissions of an individual product throughout its entire lifecycle. Since 2021, mesa parts has been calculating its CCF. Starting in 2025, we offer PCF calculations already during the quotation phase – supporting transparency and helping to achieve reduction targets.

What We’ve Achieved – and Where We are Headed
Achievements:
- Certification according to ISO 14001 and ISO 50001
- 100% green electricity at the Lenzkirch headquarters since 2022 and installation of photovoltaic systems at two sites
- Corporate Carbon Footprint (CCF) tracked since 2021 and Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) available since 2025
- Implementation of circular economy principles in the production process
- Publication of a sustainability report aligned with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS)
Future Goals:
- Introduction of external audits beyond ISO certifications, aligned with international best practices
- Self-generated electricity to cover at least 50% of total demand at all sites, plus additional energy solutions to reduce dependencies
- Establishment of an incentive system for teams and departments to further reduce CO₂ and expand PCF calculations to all new products already in the design phase
- Expansion to additional waste streams and exploration of reuse or upcycling of unused materials
- Ongoing dialogue with customers, employees and suppliers to further develop our sustainability strategy
Sustainability Report
